You get a sidekick device, stand, USB-C cable and power brick along with all the software required to run Sidekick and full support from our team. We pay for all of the shipping costs.

How many Sidekicks can be connected on a team?

What do I get for $50/user/month?

We built Sidekick to handle teams of all sizes.

What happens once I order Sidekicks for my team?

In the checkout flow, you should have given us the emails of all of your teammates. We'll handle getting all of the shipping addresses and then we'll ship the Sidekicks out. Each Sidekick comes with setup instructions so each teammate can get started on their own device.

What do I need in my home?

Sidekick just needs power and WiFi. We provide everything else.

Do you accept other forms of payment?

Yes, if you are unable to pay with a credit card please reach out to help@realismlabs.com and we can configure billing via ACH or other means.

Sidekick's video is built to be on during your workday to facilitate spontaneous conversations and collaboration with your teammates. When starting your day, you tap the "Join Room" button to enter the room with your team. When in the room, audio is muted by default to minimize distractions. When you need to speak to a teammate, just tap the Sidekick to unmute your audio.

At the end of the day, tap the "Leave Room" button. During the day, if you need to leave at any point, you can also use the "Leave Room" button.

How much space does a Sidekick device take up?

What does it mean for Sidekick to be default on?

Sidekick stands upright at 9 inches tall by 6 inches wide.

Is it distracting to have a Sidekick on my desk?

Sidekick's microphone is muted by default, preventing unwanted noises from coming through.

What do I do with Sidekick when I have a meeting on Zoom/ Hangouts/ BlueJeans?

How do I use Sidekick?

Hit the "Leave Room" button on the Sidekick for the duration of your meeting. When the meeting is over, hit the "Join Room" button. In the future, we plan on supporting calendar integrations.

How should I use Sidekick if I work in multiple locations throughout the day?

We recommend setting up multiple stands in the places you work most frequently. Please let us know at help@realismlabs.com, and we'll ship you additional stands free of charge.

Yes. Sidekick uses end-to-end encryption to keep your conversations secure.

Are conversations recorded?

Is communication through Sidekick encrypted?

No. The video and audio are never recorded.

Can I mute my Sidekick or turn off the video?

We respect the privacy of our users which is why data security is so important to us. Sidekick's microphone is default muted to prevent distracting noises from coming through. If you ever need to turn off the Sidekick's video temporarily, you should leave the video room and re-join when possible.

If you cancel your Sidekick subscription for any reason within 14 days, we'll give you a full refund. We'll work with you to coordinate shipping the device back to us and we'll cover the costs. The 14 days start from the date of first use.

No, you are renting the hardware from Realism Labs. This lets us upgrade your Sidekick to new versions and replace defective units at no cost to you.
